Interview with Menzi Mzimela (Anarchadium) of #BrokeNiggazSA

Broke Niggaz is a show about a group of friends in their early twenties living in Johannesburg. Broke Niggaz is a series that reflects a true representation of the young black man trying to find his way through varsity, girls and the social life of the typical ‘cool kid’. The show represents a very raw reality of the Johannesburg's lifestyle that a lot of people or young people are too ashamed to speak about; it critiques the façade and glamorous elements that a lot of the young black youth try to portray within the urban culture in areas such as Braamfontein, Newtown, Auckland Park and Maboneng. The group of friends consists of students, musicians, poets, graphic designers, fashion designers and bloggers.
We linked up with the creative director of the series, Menzi Mzimela, better known as Anarchadium to speak a bit more about his direction and ambitions regarding himself as a creative as well as his current and upcoming projects.
