The Bad Kid with Good Looks - Andile Jila

We headed out into the city to speak to creative director and stylist, Andile Jila, of Bad Kids & Good Looks. A cold and windy Thursday morning, I waited outside Kitchners for both my partner and Andile. By the time they arrived, Andile dressed in clourful gear, I had already went through my set of questions while the nip skinned me alive… It was alright though, I had my best black coat on (smiley face).

In the midst of our usual, loving, warm hugs, hellos and how have you been's, he decided upon buying himself some coffee across the street, we shared what he called 'cheap chocolate' and Oreos, over hilarious convesations about anyone and everything... to put it simply, catching up!

Andile Cornelius Jila began making clothes and jewellery as a child. He made a habit of sitting in his aunt’s studio to watch her create bodies out of fabric. This influenced his love for fashion and styling – the more he delved into it, the more mature his taste and you can see this in his effortless attempt in compiling an ensemble that is often fuelled with a theatrical attitude, all in the name of looking good.
