Mapule Mohulatsi is a poet, writer, student and activist. She was born and raised in Soweto and attended The National School of the Arts where she majored in Dramatic Arts.

I'm from Mofolo, Soweto, I went to The National School of the Arts, and am currently completing a degree in History and African Lit at the University of the Witwatersrand. Professionally and unprofessional a writer :)
What does style mean to you?
Self value.
Do you style yourself?
I wish I had enough money to, so the answer is no.
How would you describe your city’s fashion and sense of style?
Some people are just weird, but then again most time I'm not looking at other people. I've seen some pretty dope shit though.
How long does it usually take you to compile an outfit?
Uhm, I don't compile outfits. If I do for an event or something its usually a one piece, like a nice dress or something.
Who is your favourite stylish person in the industry? It can be local/international or both.
Uhm, none. I don't watch TV so I don't know what's up and what's not.

My mothers wardrobe :)
Do you consider yourself an artist and why?
No I don't, I am beyond even the most beautiful of labels. I love life, I was born into a forest of beautiful creations. I can't put myself into a box of 'artistry' when I was born into one more beautiful and beyond any expectations.
What’s your favourite part about conceptualising an outfit?
Accessories.
